That Summer by Sarah Dessen
I loved Haven, and I really enjoyed reading about her family. To be honest, I am most like her sister Ashley...like...wow. I was surprised at how many ways I could relate to her. She was a little more extreme in some ways, but she is definitely my bent. I loved how even though she made mistakes, she had her strengths, too, and everyone still loved her. (Yay me! Haha)
Sumner was my favorite character, because he was so complex. So many layers went into his character and how he changed and what he did and who he was. He was just...great. He lifted my spirits and also reminded me that no one is perfect.
Really, this is such a great, quick read. Anyone who is looking for an easy book with a tiny side romance (not what you think) and good lessons to learn - read this book! :)
