Top Ten Tuesday: Books I've Read So Far In 2013

I saw this theme at The Broke and the Bookish a few days ago and was like, "OOOH!  PICK ME!  PICK ME! I WANT TO DO THIS ONE!"  Obviously, that doesn't make any sense, since they don't pick who posts and who doesn't, but STILL.  I was just soooo excited.  I love talking and bragging about my favorite books. HA!

Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris - Because REASONS.  I just.  Everything.  My heart.  Barclay.  Ben.  Janelle.  LOOOOVE.

The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh - I loved everything about this book:  the way it talked about family and love and adoption and foster care, the way it was written, the way it broke my heart.
_________

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen - You know why.  So many reasons, all of them, but mainly Wes.  And, well, everything.  BUT WES.
_________

The Host by Stephanie Meyer - Gosh, I will never be the same.  This book was so incredible, and I obsessed over it, and Jared, and how passionate and wild and lovely he was, and Ian, and how I just loved him and all his quiet glorious adorableness.  And also the aliens.  I mean.  Shoot.
_________

Delirium series (the whole trilogy and short stories) by Lauren Oliver - The first 2 were re-reads, and Requiem and the shorts were new reads.  And, um, well, THEY JUST KILL ME WITH THEIR BEAUTY.
_________

Everbound by Brodi Ashton - JACK CAPUTO!  I love him with every breath I take.  I can't even WAIT to see what darling Brodi has in store for us in the next and final book, even though Everbound made me throw the book against my bed, like, ten times, and also screech and cry and hyperventilate.  I'm addicted, what can I say?
_________

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin - Michelle has officially ruined me with Noah Shaw and all his sexy complexities.  Also, I love Mara.  I love unreliable narrators.  I love her writing.  I love the story.  I LOVE ALL THE SPOOKY.
_________

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh - CREAGH.  She's my newest author to hate and love all at once.  HOW COULD SHE FREAKING DO THAT TO ME!?  I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest and stomped on and then tossed into a giant blender and then devoured by nasty giants.  All of them named Creagh.  I'm sorry - it's not that bad.  But, it kinda is.
_________

Vortex by Julie Cross - This book...omg...I waited a year and it was SO worth every second of waiting.  Cross is a sci-fi goddess.  I love her so much.  And Jackson...he's like, pretty much, the guy I would marry if I could choose.  He's magnificent.  And there were so many moments in which I died of love because of the AWESOME decisions he made.  Ugh I just love this book.
_________

And there you are!  I'm in love with these books!

  1. The Truth About Forever and Delirium! AH. Two my favorites! I wasn't the biggest fan of the end of the series, but I loved the first two books. Especially the first book. AH. Alex - best character ever.

    I love your list!

I loved The Language of Flowers, it probably would have made this list if I hadn't read it in 2011! I still have to finish the Delirium series, but I loved the first 2, so I am sure I will love the last one. Great list! My TTT.

I'm so glad to see The Host on your list! I don't think it gets the attention it deserves.

I've only read Delirium, but I'm nervous about finishing the series because the other books didn't rate as well, and the last one was downright panned...
