SUMMARY -
Max is having a crisis.  Not physical, but emotional.  Fang, after dying and coming back to life, as left.  Left her and her Flock.  He left her a love letter on his bed and just disappeared.  Now he has his own gang, and Max must move without him.  There's a doomsday group, talking about the One Light - hope - and hypnotizing people toward their cause.  What is their cause?  And will following the D-day group lead Max to Fang once again?

MY THOUGHTS -
There were some choppy parts of this book, some random scenes that didn't lead to or from anything.  But most of the time I was into the story and excited to know more about the root of the situation, despite the cheesiness of the root.  I don't know how James Patterson is going to wrap this up in one more book, but honestly I can't wait.  I read this nearly a year ago and still have a month left until I get my hands on book #8!  This book is like a tease!

Again, I really, really love the characters.  And again, they're the reason I'm sitll here.  I would've stopped at book #4 if I hadn't been totally in love with Max, Fang, and the rest of the Flock.  I was then, and I am now.  They are really amazing to read about.

The story this time was good, even though it had the usual "out-of-nowhere" feel.  But it was enjoyable, intense, and heartwrenching.  I'd say sadder than the last book, which was pretty darn sad.  :(  I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!

This book reminds me of...
Teasing
Terrible covers
Infuriatingly LONG gaps between books
Really exasperating love triangles that you wish would just DISINTEGRATE, but you also love at the same time
Cheesy D-day crap (lol)

For the Parents -
Some kissing...maybe some minor cussing.  Recommended 12+

  1. Haha I love your pint-sized reviews! Makes me crave pint-sized (EPIC) ice cream :')

This was a really great review, Sierra! I have to admit that I only read the first book in this series and didn't like it that much, but  I'm planning on continuing for sure if you really loved it that much! :) My favourite character is definitely Fang LOL -- I want to know more about him! And cheesy D-day crap? That just made my day! x) <3

  2. Can you believe I've never read anything by James Patterson? I fail at life. Sounds like these books are really character-driven and that's what I love most, so maybe I should get on the Patterson train starting with this series! Love these mini reviews:)

I have the first two books in this series but I have not gotten around to reading them yet. I really should. Too many books, not enough time. These are book reader problems haha

Thanks for the great pint sized review. Super cute name btw

  4. Ahahaha Mimi you're adorable!! :D  Thanks for commenting!  I definitely think that it's a good series, but not good enough to waste your time on if you didn't like the first book.  If you don't like that one...then, well...you probably will HATE the rest of the series!  Haha  but maybe you won't - who knows?!  ;)

  5. You know, I actually can.  A lot of people haven't and if I didn't like the first book in the series, I wouldn't have gotten into the others.  Try the first one - and then go from there!  Honestly, I don't recommend it to everyone...he's not the best writer, but he does have some fun stuff, if you get into it. ;)

Thanks so much for commenting! :D

  7. I've never read any of this series but I've heard a lot of things about it. It sounds decent enough so I look forward to giving it a go. I must agree though: the covers are dreadful and really, really dull! I hope I enjoy the book better. :)
