The Bookshelf Dilemma: Episode 3

Ahhh long time no see!  I haven't been posting this meme because so many things were going on and more important posts needed to be published.  But here I am - back with a new addition to this fun meme! :)

So.  These are the books that I like but don't LOVE.  Like, Ok, some of them I love.  But it's not a favorite kind of love.  Is this totally obsessive? OCD?  It totally is.  But continuing on now...

I guess you could say these are the books I adored but didn't quite get 5 stars.  Some of them I didn't like, like Winter Wood all the way down at the bottom.  Or Eragon.  (I liked it a lot the first time...didn't like it the 2nd time.)
You should see this shelf now!  It's amazing how much it's changed since this picture!  But that's what this meme is for...so you'll have to wait to see what it's like now!

I really enjoyed these books, but they're not perfect, or even close.  The Various and Celandine are actually quite incredible, and they would be in my favorites section if the third book, Winter Wood, hadn't been so freaking stupid.  But I kept them anyway, because I loved the first 2 so much I ordered the third from England, and it was expensive, and the covers are just so beautiful...

This is the land of 3 stars.  Prom and Prejudice, Sarah's Key, Little Women and Me.  All great, fun books, but nothing special.  I want to keep them, possibly re-read them, so they go here.

I love this section.  These are my Bibles and devotionals and theological books.  I haven't read all of them, but I'd say most of them.  Do Hard Things was EPIC.  (Here's their website!)  It was so motivating to get out there and DO SOMETHING BIG.  And I don't know where it is in the picture (I might not have unpacked it or organized it here), but Growing Up Christian SHOULD be here, because it changed my life.

So there you go...my fun little shelves.  Again, they've changed so much!  I can't wait for you all to see what they look like now!  More coming soon! :)

What's YOUR bookshelf dilemma?

Also...IMPORTANT:
How do you all like this meme?  Is there anyone who would like to take part in it?  Let me know and I'll fix up the button a bit and make it available to everyone to use.  Then I'll get working with Linky so we can all be linked up! :)  Let me know in the comments if you'd like to participate!  It would be once a month. :)

I love this meme and would love to take part, alas, I do not have a suitable camera at the moment. I know what you mean though!

  2. Oh, East!  What did you think of that?  I really like the East of the Sun, West of the Moon fairy tale, so I try to read all the adaptations of it I can find.  Which so far are...three.  (East, Jessica Day George's Sun & Moon, and this fantasy one, Once Upon a Winter's Night.)

  3. What exactly would we be highlighting in this meme (besides, ya know, books)? I might be interested - not a big fan of weekly memes, but a monthly one could be quite a nice addition to my blog.

  4. Fun post. My bookshelves are always expanding even with my Kindle. I still like to have favorites in hard copy since I loan out all my books and sometimes I just like to read a real book. :)

  5. My shelves dilema consist in the fact that I don't have space any more!! & that freaks me out since I can't figure out a way to use my shelves space economically.

I arrange them by date I read them. If we are talking about a book series, instead of arranging the new book by date, I place it beside the first book.
Yes, I'm also insane crazy & may have an OCD case in my head...
