Tiger's Voyage (Quotes)

He got up and knelt beside my chair.  Picking up my hand, he twined his fingers with mine.  "You're forgetting something, iadala.  Love is not a consequence.  Love is not a choice.  Love is a thirst - a need as vital to the soul as water is to the body.  Love is a precious draft that not only soothes a parched throat but also vitalizes a man.  It fortifies him enough that he is willing to slay dragons for the woman who offers it.  Take that draft of love from me, and I will shrivel to dust.  To take it from a man dying of thirst and give it to another while he watches is a cruelty I never thought you capable of."

- Chapter 18, pages 351-352

Mmmmmmm.... Here, ladies and gentlemen: the reason why I love these books so much.  Why I love Ren more than most book boys. *sigh*
Review on Monday!

  1. Wow, Ren certainly has his way with words, doesn't he? I can definitely see why he's so swoon-worthy, especially if he speaks like that all the time. Love the quote, Sierra! <3 Thanks for sharing!

  4. Ohmygoodness, I got my hands on a copy of Tiger's Curse a few weeks ago because I know you love it, but I still haven't had the chance to read it yet! But this quote makes me want to SO BADLY. Ren sounds like a wise, adorable sweetheart -- and I have a thing for any boy who can melt my heart <3

Will be getting on this soon! Thanks so much for sharing, Sierra! :) <3

  5. Ummm YES!  Gorgeous, I know! ;)  You should definitely check out these books! :D  His full name is actually Dihren (I *think* that's how it's spelled), which I really love as well.  But yes, Ren is great. :D
