This year...I have read a lot.  96 books and that was with comfort.  I'm shocked, as last year I only read 69.  At first I thought I should set my goal for 2012 to a high number to being with, but you never know what might happen...

But this is besides the point.  I've looooved this year's list.  So many favorites have risen from the pile I read this year.  And there were those bad eggs mixed in with the good, but we don't need to dwell on those.  They're in the past.

As a blogger, I feel like I've grown tremendously.  I constantly ask myself (almost every time I sit down to write a review), "What will make this review great?  What will make it stand out among the others?  What can I do to better my reviews?"  It's a constant learning process and I love every minute of it.  I have gained more followers than I'd ever expected (but totally hoped for - thanks everyone!!) as well as Facebook, Twitter, Feedburner, etc., followers.  You guys are the bomb for reading and commenting and sharing!!

As I enter the new year, there will be old and new:
1.  The new Review look will continue, and it might morph some more over time.
2.  I'm going to try to host a giveaway hop and am currently working out the details.
3.  I will post many more Author Interviews as a way to promote authors and their books.
4.  My goal is to read 70 books, but I'm sure I will up that as time goes on.
5.  I now have a Nook (yay!) so my Review Policy will be updated soon.
6.  I'm hoping to do fun themes with A Compilation of Inspirations.
7.  I have recently added 1-5 star categories so you can easily navigate through books I loved - and books I hated.
8.  I am going to try to re-read a ton of books this year; some I haven't reviewed, some I have.
9.  I want to read at least 8 classics this year in an attempt to further my work on the literature curriculum I'm writing.
10.  I want to bring more books to more people and spread the news about the great authors out there!!

So, I suppose that is my New Year's Resolution for my blog.  Or, something like it.  Some aren't resolutions, but...well, I'm blabbering now.  I'll stop.  ;)

In any case, I'm glad to be a part of this community of book bloggers, being able to read and learn from blogs such as Small Review, A Work of Fiction, I Am A Reader, Not A Writer, Book Briefs, Miss Page Turner's City of Books, Reading Vacation, Pure Imagination, Muggle-Born Books, Book Rat, and many many more!!  It is such a fun hobby and passion and pastime and something I'm constantly looking forward to, now matter what is going on.

So, happy NEW YEAR!!! (Belatedly, sorry about that.)  I hope your New Year is full of wonderful books!! :D
