For about a week or two I was seriously considering a book buying ban. And during that time I wasn't buying books, so I felt good. But then on Wednesday I went to a thrift store. And...you know the rest of the story.
DragonSpell by Donita K. Paul - $3.00
Funny thing is, I've always wanted to read these. And yet, I had only seen them once at the store, and people told me, "Oh, those dragon books, they're really good, but I can't remember the names..." So I was stuck without being able to add them to Goodreads or find them at the bookstore because I couldn't remember names. And then, I found them - at the thrift store in Escondido, hilariously. I recognized the covers and the names and it clicked and I held them in my arms until I had paid and the lady put them into a bag and handed them to me - and now they're mine!! They're all practically brand new, too! But the only problem is that I don't have the 2nd book. But, oh well, knowing me, I'll end up with it somehow...
DragonFire - $3.00
DragonKnight - $3.00
The books together! :D $9.00 total and I'm three books richer. I guess that's the best way to look at it. ;)
And from NetGalley I received:
And... OMIGOSH OMIGOSH OMIGOSH I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE!!!!
I couldn't believe that I was accepted - this is one of the top requested books on NetGalley in the Teen & YA section and I wasn't expecting it... And then, BAM!! Man, I can't wait to get into it. I hope it's as good as I want it to be. :)
Anyways... As you can tell, I have tons and tons of reading to do. I went a little NetGalley crazy. But I'm soooo excited about all these. :)
What have you bought recently? :)
